On September 24, the 25th Teaching Assistance Group of Graduates was established under the principle of open, voluntary, and merit-based. The selection process consists of application, recommendation, qualification examination, trial lecture, and interview, with an aim to examine the applicants’ morality, willingness to volunteer, and basic teaching skills.
On September 16, 17 students out of 47 were admitted to the team in the final-round selection, who will serve in elementary and secondary schools voluntarily from August 2023 to July 2024 after being trained in education theories and teaching skills.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Teaching Assistance Group of Graduates. In the past decade, 117 volunteers have successively served in western ethnic areas such as Lhoka city in Tibet, Tacheng city in Xinjiang, Tongren city in Guizhou, Dali city in Yunnan. A series of brand activities, including Plateau Book House, Pen Pals Project and Apprenticeship Project, etc., have been carried out by the Group. With efforts, it was awarded Hubei Excellent Youth League Branch, the Youth Medal of Tibet Autonomous Region, and the National Excellent Youth League Branch.
